As backpackers, we loved the peaceful and serene location of Zimbali Culinary Retreats. It is nestled in the middle of a tropical rainforest, immersing us in nature's beauty. The tranquil mornings with the sounds of chirping birds and a cup of delicious coffee were truly rejuvenating. The local cooks at Zimbali are absolute masters, and their culinary delights left us in awe. The food was fresh, healthy, and creatively prepared. We also had the opportunity to witness a fantastic cooking show. The wooden hotel with its stunning pool and breathtaking views of the jungle added to the once-in-a-lifetime experience. Mark, the owner, was incredibly hospitable and made us feel like part of his own family. The entire staff was friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cleanliness and presentation of the place were impeccable. Our cottage accommodation was spacious, with a lovely balcony that offered privacy and a peaceful retreat.

zimbali culinary retreats in negril was a dream! the food and welcome were amazing - loved the family style eating and making friends. the room and balcony stole my heart, and the adopted dogs were a bonus. the rasta village hike was a must-do! wish i had more days there.

We stayed at Zimbali for a week and it was an amazing experience. The beautiful interiors and lounge area were perfect for relaxing while watching the jungle. Misty, the host, was incredibly kind and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious and we loved the hike to meet Fire The Rastaman. The cooking show with live music was enjoyable, but it did get busy for a couple of hours. Zimbali Culinary Retreats provided a warm welcome, a unique cultural experience, and excellent service.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic time at Zimbali Culinary Retreats. The beautiful interiors and lounge area provided a perfect space for relaxation. The breakfasts were delicious and Misty went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The hike to meet Fire The Rastaman was a memorable experience and the cooking show with live music was enjoyable. Despite a few drawbacks, we would definitely recommend this unique retreat. a wonderful stay.

The manager, Mark, goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is memorable, even organizing special treats like a birthday cake. Kids will love the pool, and bird enthusiasts will be delighted by the chance to spot Jamaican endemite birds.
There were instances where the wife of the owner created a stressful atmosphere by arguing and screaming in public, disrupting the otherwise peaceful ambiance of this beautiful retreat.

The warm welcome at Zimbali was like coming home. Being surrounded by nature enhanced our Jamaican cultural experience. The food made from local farms was fantastic, especially the Cooking Show. Our stay at Zimbali Culinary Retreats was truly once-in-a-lifetime. The beautifully designed wooden hotel offered a gorgeous pool with an unbeatable view of the jungle. Mark, the owner, was an amazing host and his kids were absolutely adorable. The local staff was also very friendly. The food, fresh from their own farm, was extremely good and more creative than elsewhere. The cooking show was a must-see. The entire place was kept extremely clean. Our cottage accommodation was the best: spacious, with a great balcony and good privacy.
Felt like a home away from home, nothing to complain about.
